I love this casual, laid back kicking-off-summer cover. I love it mostly because it’s the first Glamour cover in ages that doesn’t have sequins. Lauren Conrad looks like every college girl on every college campus in a relaxed outfit. I don’t really understand the resurgence of friendship bracelets in the over 10 years old demographic, but Glamour’s hawking them for $12 at the Conde Nast store if you’re interested.
All for a grand total of $80
There are roughly 7 billion pairs of shorts like hers out there, macaroons. Just pick your favorite brand. I’ve been in love with Hurley jeans since my days working at the surf shop because they’re consistently a perfect fit, they’re comfortable & durable.
Nautical shoes are all over the place this year. Rope laces are one of the hottest trends so you’d better practice your knots! I’m starting to love them. I’m not into the full on sailor thing, but if you do the rest of the outfit subtly, nautical wedges make a great accent. Another good fit would be cork or rope wedges, which are also bountiful lately.
I’m distracted by those friendship bracelets. I think Dogeared’s Make a Wish bracelets make a much better match for the summer. They have a full line of Earth-friendly bracelets too & the dainty, minimalist design let’s you wear yours all summer, anywhere with anything. It’s a cute reminder of whatever it is you’re hoping for.
