An Open Letter to Glamour Magazine

June 2010 Glamour, p 153, center #1

We interrupt your regularly scheduled June 2010 Edition of Steal Glamour’s Cover Look (because I’m sure you’ve got way hotter swimsuits picked out already, macaroons) to bring you…

Dear Glamour Magazine,

Not only am I going to write, edit & blog for you, I’m going to shock & amaze. You’ll still look the same, feel the same, smell of perfume & makeup samples, but there’s going to be something different about you. People will notice. You won’t quite be able to put your subscription insert on it, but you will have an all new swagger about you, both in print & online. You’ll be glowing. You’ll be glowing that post-amazing sex glow that’s only made possible by an absolutely stellar experience. I, Glamour, will be that experience.

In the June 2010 issue, you quoted me. I liked it. I think we’re going to have a wonderful relationship together. We’ll skip through Central Park surveying couples on their significant others’ quirks; we’ll blow “Engagement Chicken” away (after several hilariously failed kitchen attempts) with “Marry Me Mignon” & we will scour the shelves of Sephora for the ultimate beauty products while interviewing real women with the most extraordinary stories. It’ll be hot.

We’ll start out casually. I promise not to pressure you into Mastheadship before you’re ready. However, as time goes by & our relationship takes off like an editoromantic comedy I believe you’ll want a long, productive, creative future with me.

Call me, baby!

Alison Heller
