Welcome to baking season! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families. It’s always nice to have a long weekend dedicated to eating delicious things & drinking your parents’ good wines. Donate them to your local food shelter. If you don’t know where that is, pick a church in your neighborhood & find out where to bring donations. Tuesday: Be part of an experiment in social media & art at #thesocialgraph [...] Curly hair really is its own creature. I literally woke up one day & my hair decided to be curly & it’s been curly for the last 12 years. Some days, I’m sure there’s a beast under that nest, breathing & just waiting for me to dare try & style it into something beautiful. Hello, [...] Last week, I was in Orlando for a little Disney magic & the IAAPA expo. If you haven’t been that way recently, you must go check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Butterbeer is delish & the Hog’s Head Inn serves Hog’s Head Ale, a Scottish style ale that’s smooth, hoppy & exactly what [...] Last Thursday night, Universal Studios Florida closed its Islands of Adventure park for the evening & invited us to a private party celebrating the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The creators gave us a tour, showing us actual film props incorporated into the scenery & pointing out details of the beautiful full scale Hogsmeade Village. [...] This is the ultimate playground! I’m back from my trip & still trying to get rested before the madness of Thanksgiving. IAAPA was a pretty intense experience. I do promise to start baking for the cupcake challenge this week though. I ordered mine because it’s annoying to not be able to see that far ahead. Get it early so you can get your new year in order asap! Tuesday: Get away for a day! Aside from the fact that she’s on the Women of the Year cover without wearing pants & it’s the December issue, did they really have to dress Fergie in Hugh Hefner’s bathrobe?
