Since I started this blog on my Five Rules for Life, inspired by something Mark Strand said to me, I’d like to share one of my favorite poems of his with you today. Tuesday: Start a little [...] Love. Another week gone & all I got was another roll over on my life odometer. Actually it was a busy week filled with hope, fancy events, thunderstorms & movies. I did, indeed turn a year older. I had a fabulous excuse (finally) to wear my Betsey Johnson dress & my new bootie/sandal hybrids. I [...] Where absurdity is reality Some days, you have to laugh or else you’ll cry. Always choose laughter, macaroons. I spent most of the week laughing hysterically. Keep your eyes open! A walk on the beach A year after Grad I think the bars on my heart are starting to lift a little. Macaroons! I had the best week! I feel like Alzy 2.0 & I’m ready to make some serious changes. Well, macaroons, the coming week promises to be better than the last. I have discovered a whole new level of heartbreak: a feeling of humiliation to have ever loved someone. Exes are strange creatures, macaroons. It just makes me sad to [...] Even bright rooms go dark sometimes… Macaroons, I will not pretend it was a good week. I escaped a lot into Boot Camp, books, friends & movies about abusive vampire boyfriends. Hopefully the next few weeks will brighten up. Rain falls like applause.
